Awful customer service

Awful customer service, they respond within three days at the time, with very generic answers, encouraging interaction rather than solution focused. Issues and communication goes on forever. They dont have live chat either and only open during US trading hours (ET).

All good! I am satisfied with Hi-Res streaming.

All good! I am satisfied! I see they got lots of negative reviews, but my experience is very positive.
I have TIDAL HiFi subscription, I don't like the fee, but on the other hand it is 4.5 stars service, because I was in touch with support and they could be faster. Anyway, issue was successfully resolved. :)
My opinion is: if you need/want hi-res music streaming service, then go with Tidal.
Perhaps you will appreciate also passthrough MQA in settings, it will disable software decoding and decoding will be done with your DAC.
Another good featire is "Keep TIDAL volume at max level and control output on external device."
Another interesting feature is "Use Exclusive Mode".
With this exclusive mode, TIDAL has exclusive use of the audio device you are using.
I hope you've found this review helpful.

I was subscribed to Tidal

I was subscribed to Tidal, and cancelled subscription in January. They honoured that cancellation for 4 months, then charged me twice the monthly fee. They refuse to offer refund saying I never cancelled, and that $23.99 is the correct charge for a month, despite the actual cost being $11.99 a month. They're also not able to explain why I wasn't charged for the 4 months they claim I hadn't cancelled.

Don't sign up! Dodgy company

Don't sign up! I signed up for a subscription advertised as $14.99 a month after the trial. After the trial ended they charged me $29.99, had changed my plan to their most expensive one and refused to refund me. I had to send multiple emails to get a refund agreed to, then they didn't even process it. Follow up emails to support and Facebook went ignored.
What looks like a great platform, behind the scenes is a dodgy company and terrible customer service. Other reviews clearly confirm this.
I've gone back to Spotify.

Poor Quality

They constantly remove music from my playlists. They constantly don't allow me to search new music from other artists. It constantly says no connection but I have full range connection, its ONLY on Tidal. I also have noticed they don't have a lot of music other music platforms have. This is actually disappointing and if I didn't invest years into this app I would have went to apple music when I got an i-phone. I originally got tidal because I had an android and apple music wasnt an option.

Horrible services

I’ve had tidal for years. Unfortunately. I didn’t have to choice since I can’t cancel my subscription. The customer service is non excitant, it’s just BOTS telling you the same thing over and over again. Nowhere to contact, when I finally found a email to contact them I got once again another BOT telling me the email wasn’t monitored and I needed to visit their website for the same information I’ve read 100 times before- that isn’t helpful.
Horrible service, horrible customer service, horrible company. Avoid. I feel really disappointed.

You can't cancel their service

You can't cancel their service, no matter what you try. You can't do it on a phone as there is no way to do it on the app. You can't cancel the service on their website, it's just around and around with the same questionnaire. Can't talk to anyone, as you send a request, only to get the email they are closing the request due to no contact from you. Yet, you never get any replies from them. It's the worst customer service, ever!
I would avoid them like the plague. Terrible!

Abhorrent Customer Service

I was given a gift card for TIDAL complete with a rave review as too the the quality of sound, unfortunately I was unable to experience it. The gift card was accepted and never applied and there is no way to get resolution for such a problem. The BOT by its own admission is unable to assist, customer service refers you to the BOT and you enter a vicious do loop. I have lost my $60, and for the past 2 days been thoroughly frustrated by the lack of customer service. Taking money and providing no recourse to resolve issues is not a long term business model.

TIDAL - A major RIP off!! Please read

Hi everyone. I don't submit reviews often (this would be my 3rd in past 15 years). I joined Tidal in Nov. of 2019. I purchased a popular and very capable streamer for my main audio system. I was enjoying my experience with Tidal p until May of 2020 and service was discontinued. I received an email from Tidal indicating that they had terminated my service due to "non-payment". The only glitch was that I had never missed any payments as it comes directly out of my Mastercard account. So, I was charged for May, June, July, August and now September. I am and have been an avid audiophile for the past 45 years and, of course, I can't describe how disappointed I am. My subscription was for the "premium service. I've now spent quite some time in attempting to contact them via email and / or their "chat line" to no avail. I have not heard back from Tidal at all despite a dozen attempts to contact them. Mastercard has been also unable to contact them as apparently you need to be a member to contact them. THEREFORE, I AM WARNING ALL POTENTIAL SUBSCRIBERS TO HEED THE POSSIBILITY OF TIDAL RIPPING YOU OFF. I've now heard of 3 same cases just in my small locality. If anyone else has been taken advantage of please write me (this site won't allow email addresses to be given out) at box 172 Chase, British Columbia. My profession prior to retirement allows me access to pro bono legal advice/services to be employed in a class action suit. I know that there are more of you out there! This has now become a matter of principal. The only remedy I currently have, other than a suit is to cancel my Mastercard relationship of 25 yrs and have my credit scores diminish.
Thanks for listening to all of this venting.
Sincerely, AC.

Tidal is okay

Tidal is okay. Nonetheless, I prefer Spotify since Tiday provides me only with general mainstream music, not underground/alternative.
